Why this name
Excel Intelligence describes the reconstruction of workbook structure, formula lineage, and business meaning. Controls makes the boundary equally explicit: the product validates what can be checked, surfaces exceptions, and leaves judgment to a reviewer.
Give the product a workbook and it does not jump to a polished conclusion. It first establishes what the workbook is, where its headers and formulas live, which cells depend on one another, and where the evidence breaks. Analysis comes after structure.
The private source package retains its own internal technical label for artifact provenance. The public product name is Excel Intelligence & Controls.
Logo
The nine-cell grid represents a workbook. The highlighted cell shows how a workbook-wide exception can be narrowed to one location, such as H7 in the bundled test. The geometry stays simple enough for a browser tab, report footer, or monochrome audit mark.
Full-color source mark
Use the existing structural mark on light surfaces. The surrounding LaurenceYang interface uses the shared green palette.
Dark surface
The same mark may sit on an opaque dark surface. No glass effect or reversed geometry is required.
Monochrome mark
For stamps, watermarks, and single-color output. The mark follows currentColor.

Voice: how the product speaks
1. Use plain language
Say which four issues need review, who owns each one, and what evidence supports the next action. “Difference: −120.00; inspect a possible manual balancing entry” is more useful than “a discrepancy exists.”
2. Lead with evidence
Do not state a conclusion before validation. Row-level checks and workbook-level controls remain separate, and machine-inferred structure is labeled as a candidate rather than a fact.
3. Do not overclaim
State what cannot be calculated and why. Distinguish a browser-local structural demonstration from a full AI-assisted workflow, and never turn synthetic validation into production adoption.
